Graduate Spotlight :: Evelyn & Grace
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be posting photos and stories about several of the ladies that graduated from 31 Bits in June.
ALL 26 graduates have spent the last five years learning, saving, and building successful businesses of their own. While Akello Evelyn and Ajok Grace both sell rice individually, they love working next to each other every day. We went and visited the ladies at their workplace, and asked them to share about their experiences at 31 Bits…
“Through the trainings I received at 31 Bits, I was able to start my own successful rice business. I know how to appreciate profit, save capitol, and build relationships in my community.
When I first joined 31 Bits, I didn’t like being around people, and I didn’t know how to communicate with others. But now I am a changed person – I love to talk, laugh, and make new friends. These social skills have been so important for my business, as I have built relationships with all of my customers!” –Akello Evelyn
“The biggest achievement I’ve gotten from 31 Bits is the knowledge of saving, and how to properly run your business so that it will grow.
I now know how to work with others, how to budget, and how to care for my family. My rice business is profitable, my kids are in school, and I am so happy!” -Ajok Grace
