Artisan Spotlight :: Meet Anena Flavia
Anena Flavia is one of the strongest women we have ever known. She was falsely imprisoned for well over a year, and while her family rejected her and she had little to her name, she knew she was meant for more…
We first met Anena Flavia during a Serve Day visit at the Gulu Main Prison. After one year and seven months, she was founded not guilty and released. Her family, however, rejected her. Immediately Flavia came to 31 Bits, desperate for a job and a fresh start at life.
“After my recruitment in Bits, I was able to forgive those people who imprisoned me on baseless accusations, I too started growing spiritually and I was able to have another family here at Bits since my family was not willing to take me back. I was able to integrate and my life started to change positively.”
Flavia now runs a tailoring business, and is building a home on the land she recently purchased. She has found hope, community, and empowerment.
It is because of your 31 Bits purchases that artisans like Anena Flavia have the opportunity to pursue their dreams. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
